Mrs. Maria Fernanda Espinosa Garces, President of the 73rd Session of UN General Assembly (UN GA) requests UN delegations limit consumption of single-use plastic inside and outside of UN Headquarters. Also, launches music festival to raise awareness of plastic pollution.

Plastic pollution has quickly become one of the defining issues of our time. Every minute, one garbage truck of plastic is dumped into our oceans. Only 9 % of plastics are recycled and we need to raise awareness globally.
